Approach of the Academy (©) to the pulse diagnosis

The approach of Pulse Academy to diagnosis is based on several postulates:

  • Postulate I.

It is supposed, Traditional Chinese Philosophy is a result of long-term development of ancient civilizations. These civilizations had knowledge of Nature much more then contemporaneous scientists.

  • Postulate II.

Any object in our 3-dimensional space can be represented by numbers of small elementary parts of space - by elementary cubes. The cube in his turn has 12 ribs.

From point of view of electromagnetic processes, the condition of the cube may be described completely by conductivity and electric current of each above mentioned rib (the law of Robert Kirchhoff):

The condition of the whole object is described by sum of electric current at each rib of all elementary cubes. Ribs with the same characteristics at given period of time are manifestation of proper meridian and in Traditional Chinese Philosophy they are named as energy meridians. Any other channels, lakes, seas and points in acupuncture reflect only connections between 12 above mentioned meridians.

Eight main points on the cube provide connection between 12 meridians. These eight points in Traditional Chinese philosophy are described by Ba-Gua scheme.

  • Postulate III.

Any power in our 3-dimensional space is decomposed into only Five other independent powers:

Image:Qi.jpg

In Chinese Philosophy these powers are named as Elements: Fire-Minister, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. Elements initiate the energy in form of vibrations (Qi): Fire, Wind, Heat, Dump, Dryness, Cold. It means ancient scientists used the conception of law of energy conservation but at more complicated level as it is accepted at our time.

  • Postulate IV.

Each functional system in organism or organ has relation to one of 12 meridians and cells of systems are synchronized with metabolic processes of other functional systems. As far as there are 12 meridians and five types of Qi, the whole set of energy vibrations consists of 60 frequencies.

  • Postulate V.

The whole organism at one moment has active only 6 meridians and 6 Qi. The Qi flows from one meridian to another in accordance with specific order. This order is described by Chinese Calendar. Detailed form of Chinese Calendar is reconstructed by Pulse Academy:

Each Qi causes a definite type of metabolism and all together Qi (phases) are proceeding one by another and forming continuity of metabolic processes in the organism.

From point of view of Pulse Academy the chain of metabolism at Five phases may be presented as follow:

Stage Wind - increase of concentration of Hydrogen on outer side of cell's membrane, the Oxigen penetrates into cell easily and ATP production is high;

Stage Heat - cell's membranes become thin and the process of cell's dividing begins, excess of blood pressure is possible due to space needs for new cells;

Stage Dampness - there is a period of cell's structures grow, new cells try to synchronize their work with the whole body, arrhythmia is very possible;

Stage Dryness - cell's grow is stopping, membranes become more thick, weak cells are subjected to apoptosis and lysis, blood pressure is reduced;

Stage Cold - there is process of nutrients penetration into cells, if the sodium-potassium ionic pump is weak, cells are subjected to oncotic death and lysis.

Then the cycle is repeating again and again.

  • The disease in terms of Qi and meridians is destruction of correct order of Qi sequence in proper meridian at proper time. All names of diseases in modern medicine or even TCM (except surgical one) are only symptoms, but not an indication at real imbalances. Only Five Qi (Phases) and meridian system can represent diagnosis in a simple, formal and monosemantic state. We recommend to use the Pulse Metabolic Analysis (PMA) as a sole systematic and correct diagnosis at the world.
